We know that every inch of space matters, and that’s why we give you the opportunity to take the essentials with you practically and conveniently.

It’s important to know that when you buy your Direct Bus ticket to travel from Barcelona Airport or Sants Station to Andorra, you have the advantage of bringing cabin luggage weighing no more than 10 kg free of charge.

What is classed as hand luggage?

Hand luggage can include small suitcases or carry-ons, rucksacks and small bags, which are designed to fit neatly into overhead compartments or under the seat, ensuring quick and easy access to your most important belongings.

What kind of hand luggage can you bring?

We give you the flexibility to bring luggage that is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to strike a balance between space and portability. However, it’s important to remember that there are specific regulations and measurements to keep in mind for a smooth and seamless journey.

Also bear in mind:

1. Travel documents:

Keep your travel documents, as well as essential electronic devices and important personal items, close at hand. A well-organised carry-on bag will give you access to them without having to search through all your luggage.

2. Labelling:

Clearly label all your luggage, including your name, address and phone number.

3. Measurements:

Before embarking on your bus adventure, make sure your hand luggage conforms to the measurements allowed so that your small suitcase or carry-on will fit easily into the designated compartments.

4. Restrictions:

As with airports, there are restrictions on liquids and sharp objects in your hand luggage. Please make sure you check the regulations before packing to avoid any inconvenience during your journey.

Lastly, remember to take advantage of the limited space on the bus by choosing hand luggage with smart compartments or using internal organisers so you can easily access your personal belongings at any time.

Also, once you are on the bus, stow it under the front seat or in the overhead luggage compartment above your seat.

If you are a sports enthusiast and dream of exploring new horizons, our bus travel services are not only limited to conventional luggage, but we also offer options that let you take your special sports luggage with you on request or subject to availability.

What is classed as special luggage?

Sports enthusiasts often need to bring specific equipment, which does not fit into traditional luggage categories, on request or subject to availability.

Special luggage includes items such as bicycle cases, suitcases designed to carry sports equipment and other bulky items related to cycling and similar sports such as skiing.

What kind of special luggage can you bring?

Points to bear in mind regarding your special luggage

1. Dimensions and weight limits:

It is vital to understand the dimensions and weight limits allowed for your special luggage.

This will ensure that your bike case or other sports luggage will fit smoothly in the hold of the bus.

2. Secure and suitable packaging:

Make sure you pack your special luggage securely and properly. Protect your sports luggage with cushioning materials to ensure that all moving parts are secure to prevent damage during transport.

3. Reservation and advance notice:

Because space for special luggage may be limited, we recommend that you reserve and notify us in advance.

4. Fees and policies:

Special luggage charges may vary, so be sure to check our fees and policies for special luggage.

We understand that you often need to carry more than standard luggage, so at Direct Bus we have the perfect solution for everything from pushchairs to wheelchairs and adult walkers on your bus transfers.

What is classed as additional luggage?

Additional luggage encompasses a range of items that may not fit into the traditional categories.

Our priority is to make sure you can take everything you need with you to make your trip as comfortable as possible. Whether you need to transport a pushchair for your little explorer or a wheelchair for a fellow traveller, we’re here to make it easy.

What kind of additional luggage can passengers bring?

What you need to be aware of with your additional luggage on the bus:

1. Notify in advance:

To ensure a seamless journey, we recommend that you notify in advance of any additional luggage you plan to bring. This will enable us to make the necessary arrangements and ensure sufficient space on the bus.

2. Measurements and dimensions of additional luggage:

Make sure you know the measurements and dimensions allowed for additional luggage, such as pushchairs and wheelchairs. This will ensure that they can be safely accommodated during the journey.

3. Proper preparation:

Items such as baby car seats must be properly installed and follow safety guidelines.

Furthermore, other hold luggage must be secured inside to avoid damage during the transfer, which is why at Direct Bus we ensure that they are stowed in the presence of the driver.

4. Accessibility:

If you are travelling with a wheelchair or walking frame, make sure they are accessible and easy to manoeuvre. It is our goal to provide you with the comfort you need at all times.
