Which is the timetable and the running frequency?
Currently DirectBus offers to its clients a wide range of timetables with 20 fixed and diary frequencies from 3:30h departing from Andorra to 23:45h departing from Sants Station. The running frequency of the buses is of 2 hours approximately . You can check the exact timetable in this webpage.
How many time does the journey take?
The service is direct, without stops, and has an approximately duration of 3 hours between Andorra and Barcelona Sants, and 3 hours and a half approximately departing from the airport.
Where can I catch the buses?
Our service has stops in Aeroport El Prat (T1 and T2), Barcelona (Sants Station) and the centre of Andorra la Vella (Carrer de la Cúria S/N).
During the school period, the services of 20:15 and 22:15 of sundays, direction Andorra-Barcelona, also have stop in the Bonanova Square. This stop is subject to modifications (especially at the end of each holiday period)."
Is there a special schedule during the Christmas and New Year holidays?
The 24th, 25th and 31st of December and the 1st of January the timetable can be subjected to modifications. You will have more information related to these modifications at the beginning of December.
Are the seats numbered?
No, the seats are not numbered.
How are the buses?
The new vehicles of DirectBus of 13 metres are equipped with 52 inclinable armchairs doted with security seatbelts and footrests, as well as flat screen monitors, DVD, WC and WIFI.
How many buses has the DirectBus fleet? Which is their antiquity?
Our fleet is made up of 5 buses, which have an antiquity of 2 years.
How can I obtain the tickets?
You can make the purchase directly on our webpage in a simple way filling the gaps of the data required in the form. Remember that you will have to present the printed pass to get on the bus.
It's also possible to make telephone reservations calling to +376 805151 or to 902 10 92 76. It would only be needed to indicate your personal information and the type of fare that you want. With the booking reference that we will give you by telephone, you will have to proceed to make the payment directly going to the ticket window to obtain the ticket with the necessary border documents and minimum 30 minutes before your departure time selected.
Is it required to print the tickets?
Yes. If you make the online purchase, you will need to present the printed passes. Remember that this document is not valid to travel, so you will need to present it on our offices of Sants Station or the bus station of Andorra to exchange it for the final ticket. We don't have office on the airport, so you will need to inform the driver that you have a reservation, that will take you to Sants Station in order to make the ticket processing.
Are there reductions for groups?
We have a discount for groups of more than 10 people. In this case, a reduction of the 15% of the total price would be applied. These discounts are only applied for tickets bought on the ticket windows.
Is there a special price for children or young people?
Yes, the discounts are as follows:
- Children from 0 to 3 years: reduction of the 80%
- Children from 4 to 12 years: reduction of the 50%
- Young people from 13 to 25 years: reduction of the 10%"
Is there a special price for old people?
Yes, all people older than 60 years will benefit of a discount of the 10%.
How much do the tickets cost?

What do I have to do if I need a receipt?
If you need a receipt, you will need to send and email and request it on this email adress: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can the return of my ticket be open?
If you buy a return ticket, you can choose the return to be open, in a maximum period of 6 months. Into this period, the return ticket can be refunded at the office where you have obtained it. Bear in mind that an open ticket will be always subject to the availability of seats.
Can bikes be transported?
If you have to transport a bike, it's necessary to carry it perfectly packed and protected in the boot of the bus. Also, the client has the obligation to bring the receipt of the purchase to justify that it has been bought in Spain or in Andorra.
Can I travel with pets?
Pets can't be transported neither on board the bus nor in the boot of it, excluding guide dogs.
Which quantity of luggage can be transported?
Two suitcases can be carried per person, added to the hand luggage. In case of exceeding the quantity of luggage permitted, its transport will be subjected to the available splace of the boot.
Which is the necessary documentation to obtain a ticket and to travel?
Andorra has signed traffic agreements with Spain and France, so people that proceed from any european state won't need to process any special permission. To enter and leave Andorra, the passport or the ID will be enough.
In case of travelling with underage people, you will also need the family register. If a minor travelled by his/her own, an special authorization to leave the territory would be needed. This document can be obtained on the town hall or on the police station.
Is there any specific security rule while travelling on board the bus?
Yes, there's a series of rules of mandatory compliance for every passenger:
- Smoking is not permitted inside the bus.
- For security reasons, the security seatbelt must be tied during all the journey. Remember that the non compliance of this rule is a reason of penalty by the authorities.
- In order to respect the rest of the passengers and for hygiene reasons, eating and drinking inside the bus is not permitted.
How can I be informed of the alterations of the service?
We will inform on our webpage of all the possible alterations that can be produced.
I have lost my ticket, what can I do?
Unfortunately, it's only possible to travel by bus with a valid ticket and its loss or substraction don't give the right to any type of exchange or refund. Other payment proofs are not accepted. Once you have obtained the ticket, it has to be preserved.
